I attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and graduated with a degree in Theatre. I studied primarily at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting. While there, I did a semester at Trinity College's Beckett Center in Ireland as well as a semester at Viewpoints, the experimental theatre technique taught by it's founder, Mary Overlie.

Upon graduating I have worked professionally as a plus-size model for almost 5 years now. My work as a model has not only opened my eyes to the ever changing plus size fashion world but has allowed me to do theatre at night, which is truly a luxury that a lot of actors cannot share!

At a Christmas party a few years ago one of Ralph Lauren's sons (random? or maybe not...) suggested I do a movie about my life and call it "Finding Elizabeth Taylor". Of course, I wanted a theatre piece so I ran with it and came up with the first draft. It has been performed 4 times in New York City: December 2006  (Manhattan Repertory Theater - 42nd and 8th), July 2007 (Chashama Performance Space - 42nd and 3rd),December 2007 (Manhattan Repertory Theatre) and most recently in January 2009 (The Gene Frankel Theater). The director of my piece, Ken Hailey, is in the NYU Grad directing program at Steinhardt and has used our connection to found The Rep @ NYU which recently got recognized as an official group at the University.

As The Rep @ NYU, we have performed 3 plays in the past 6 months. The first was the camp classic, "Vampire Lesbians of Sodom" which had a sold-out run at The Secret Theatre in March of 2007.  We actually got to work with the playwright Charles Busch and original cast member, Arnie Kolodner. The Rep @ NYU also mounted "The Exonerated", the phenomenal play based on the true stories of death-row inmates who are found innocent, which had a very long run at The Culture Project in Manhattan. We again played to sold-out houses in Long Island City and were able to raise almost $1,000 dollars for the real-life exonerated.

Goals for the future are performing at The Public Theatre (where I still work as a reader) and performing my show to Tisch Undergrad Freshman as I feel eating disorder awareness is paramount in all walks of life but especially for actors. I would love to be known as a "theatre actress who does (really good!) film and television". When I worked as a humble usher on Broadway for "Doubt", I certainly looked to Cherry Jones as a model for my career.

    Themes for my work include:

                       identity
                       media and body image
                       eating disorder prevention
                       self-esteem
                       feminism
                       empowerment
